These are tags for a swap on Speckled Eggs Blog, with Heather! We are to create 20 tags (2 x4 inches)and punch the holes and Heather will bind them together! I did all originals for mine! The fronts are my favorite! I did mixed media on the background...which was basically vintage papers, paints and stamping, glitter spray- in layers and then I created the bird image and added a real person EYE to give it some fun and the quote....all cut out and mounted on the mixed media cardstock! The backs are little nests with girls sitting inside and a flower and brad with more stamping. The swap theme was birds, nests and feathers! I will be sending these off to Heather soon! Hugs,Patti

These are 1 inch fabric sqaures for a swap. 9/9 trade, one for myself! :) Everyone trades these one inch squares and soon you compile a bunch and can mount them onto a canvas or do whatever you wish with them! It is a neat idea and when I have enough, I will show them! This was a color theme of turquoise and I had fun stitching fibers, angelina fibers and netting onto beautiful batik fabric and then adding the beads and leaf embellishment! The unperfect edges do look interesting when the squares are mounted together! That adds some interest. This is a small small space to work with, but still great fun!

This is an EGG ART QUILTIE for a swap! The dimensions are about 6 1/2 inches egg! Hehehehe! I did some applique and stitching, adding of embellishments, stitching and then hand blanket stitched the edge with colored thick thread and sewed in a fun fiber yarn while I did that to make an intersting finish to the edge! The quote says, "Walk tall as the trees, live strong as the mountains, be gentle as the spring winds" That is on the front, the back says..."keep the warmth of the summer sun in your heart and the great spirit will always be with you." I look forward to receiving my egg art quilt too! These mini pieces are such an inspiration to receive!

This is a card and atcs for RAK's. The image is from PaperBagStudios and the stamp along the border is also! Just love them! Trust and Hope are word clear stamps from Just For Fun and it is a great set! I used my new clear glitter gel pen on these too! Another new favorite of mine! :0) I love weekends, because most times I am get to artworik! Next weekend will not work out that way, so I am making use of this weekend for sure!

These are 4x4 pages for a yahoo group swap! The background papers vary and the words in the corner made from scrabble paper mounted on foam tape are different! One says GAMES, NICE, WIN and FUN! The quote on this vintage image of a baseball team says, "It is not true that nice guys finish last. Nice guys are winners, before the game ever starts!" :0) The back side has an adorable little guy and I put below him...FUTURE NICE GUY! Hugs,Patti

I decided to make a couple of cards after convention, as I had my new stamps, and ideas right on the table! These are done on matte cardstock and ink is tamped on with a dense foam tool and the images are stamped in a black dye ink and heat set first. Then I used my ART and DREAM stencils and the new highlighting markers that I got in gold, white and clear glitter gel! Fun! The backgrounds on the cardstock are new stamps I got too!Edging is in brilliance ink! Hugs,Patti

This is my first attempt with the wool roving! Marilyn sent me needles and some of the wool, and a sponge etc. to give me a go at this! I love the simplicity of the technique and it adds a very beautiful textural element to the atc. This is the same atc in diffent lighting to show. I did some machine stitching after I had my piece together with mustard, purple and redish wool....and then stitched that to a piece of solid felt and added the image and text, and beading! I am a beginnger for sure, but it sure is FUN!!!!!!!!

Convention was GLORIOUS today, because.......are you ready for this story?? Debbie and I got there early, because the first 100 people got a KEY! There was a treasure chest that held $100 worth of rubber bucks for the show! At 11 ,everyone lined up to see if their ONE key would open the chest!! Debbie was in front of me, I watched intently as others had already tried with no luck and when she put in her key in, the lock popped right open!!!! I screamed, yeah, you read that right, I SCREAMED!!!!!! Debbie just stood there soooo quiet...in shock really! HOW exciting!! Wheeee!!!!!!!!!!! I was thrilled for her! All she kept saying was......"Oh my Gosh" and I kept thinking, she had some serious shopping to do!!! Double wheeeee!!! How fun! That is NOT the end though! Debbie made a pin to enter at the show and an atc(Debbie's art pictured above) also, as I did.......her pin was chosen for second place.......ANOTHER $20 rubber bucks (It should have been first place!) It is pictured above......she made me one! :0) Lucky me! AND her atc won 3rd place.....ANOTHER $15 rubber bucks!!!!! WOWZER!!!!!! $135 for Debbie today!!!!! Is that not incredible and she is the most lovely woman.....and deserving of it too! I won 4th place for my atc and got $10 rubber bucks! Hey, I will take it, but I had a BALL helping Debbie pick out fun things with her money! AND she bought me a stamp because she called me her lucky charm........I DON'T THINK SO, but she is just that kind! This was a fun and exciting day!! :0)
