Disney Tattoo Jon Reiter Solid State Tattoo

I am sharing this wonderful tattoo by talented artist Jon Reiter from Solid State Tattoo in Bay View. He is the owner and I was privileged to have him do two tattoos for me recently. The Rapunzel and Maleficent and just yesterday, the fabulous Bambi and Thumper with the beautiful background and negative space butterflies. Glorious! He tied the upper and existing lower tattoo that I had previously. I am just soooooooo happy with it all! Thanks Jon!

Isn't this perfectly pleasant???? :)

This is a little fabric piece for a banner swap that I did with a sweet friend. I am hoping it brings a smile to her face. This will get strung onto a rope or ribbon and be hung up with other pieces. There is a little piece of fern in the tiny pocket on the left. And there is some burlap folded over and stitched down to make the grass a the fairies feet. :)

We put woodchips down yesterday and planted all the planters with little flowers that will hopefully take off and get bigger as summer moves along. We get red chips, they always bring a nice pop to the flower beds.

Things are starting to look pretty here in WI! That makes me smile. That makes Rufio "sniffy" for little creatures( chipmunks, squirrels etc.). Heehehehe! We enlarged our front garden and I need to lay down wood chips yet and spruce things up a bit. The exciting part is when colors and new growth kicks in, beautiful right? I will show you as things grow and change. And they will change as new and different things bloom with the seasons. :) Happy Spring!

Earl's birthday gifts are on his car now. Ironman.......look at the great shadow cast onto the seat from the sun.
The rest of the Avengers crew on the back window......like those family clings! Hahehehe! Neat right, especially since he drives a Dodge Avenger!

My least favorite flower, the dandelion! They are amazing before they seed.

Mother's Day cupcakes for a Saturday celebration. I made the candy toppers from candy melts and a Martha Stewart mold. Fun!

Altered Paint Brush

A dear friend Marilyn sent me a paint brush to alter. She and her friends altered them, she thought I would have fun doing one and I did.

Also, here is another site full of inspirations from altering paint brushes. At the bottom of this page, you can go to even more.

If you ever get the incling to alter a paint brush........give it a go. It is great fun!
I gessoed the brush and did the bristles with gesso and sobo glue. Then I added all sorts of vintage pages from books and some different tissue papers. After that, a little wash of light color and some stamping pads for edging. Then I had velvet leaves, seed beads, some beautiful lace, a Tim Holtz HOLD charm, and a few other do dads, along with a quote that I love and we were there! Multimedia collage is therapeutic and fun!

Monster Easter Eggs

We all colored Easter Eggs today! It makes me laugh. I bought a little box set with monster faces and orange hair. They made the funniest eggs. I love them!!!!!! Some have hair, goatee, mustache, comb over, crazy lashes etc. Anyways, I love them and we all laughed pretty hard about how the boring colored eggs took on a life with this little set. Haaaaa!

Amber had me download an app......Pic Stitch, where you can collage a few images together as shown in this pic. :)
Onto our deviled eggs! Ohhhhhhh hilarious. The top pic is the one we saw that made us want to make these. The bottle pic is our worst , that had us rolling on the floor laughing, so........Amber made one of those NAILED IT comparisons that shows.......we truly DID NOT! :) Funny!

They still taste delicious, but we needed to take more time on these and were not in the mood, so they came out as is. The worse they looked, the more we liked them.....describing the circumstance that made them  look that way.........my brother beat me up chick, hang over chick, I've fallen and can't get up chick, etc. Haaaahehehe! Anyways, this was our fun for today! By the way, the eyes are pieces of black olives and the beaks are carrots!!!!! Good luck if you want to make them! Be ready to say......NAILED IT!
