This is my first attempt with the wool roving! Marilyn sent me needles and some of the wool, and a sponge etc. to give me a go at this! I love the simplicity of the technique and it adds a very beautiful textural element to the atc. This is the same atc in diffent lighting to show. I did some machine stitching after I had my piece together with mustard, purple and redish wool....and then stitched that to a piece of solid felt and added the image and text, and beading! I am a beginnger for sure, but it sure is FUN!!!!!!!!

  6. Patti my felting angel!! I just viewed your Blog and saw this felted ATC. I knew it! You have already taken off with the felting! Beautiful!!!!!!!! Oh; I am SO proud of you and I love what you did!! Like you say - wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! You can do anything!! Isn't it fun?

    ok, as a wet felter i don't get the concept of needle felting a flat surface since wet felting is just much easier for small flat pieces. but i totally love your embroidery and accents. love the colors and just everything :)

    do you wear earrings? I was going to turn the bird nest into a braclet but the bird kinda need to fly so they really do look better as earrings... so let me know :)
