The first is a lemon zest and lemon juice muffin with buttermild. I made that this morning and they are light and heavenly!!!!! The next recipe was a stuffed green pepper using carrots, red onion, and cauliflower(no rice)chopped tomatoes and ground beef.

This came out great and I topped mine with salsa and jalapenos to kick it up a notch. The bottom picture shows it raw in the crock pot. This was a slow cooker recipe!!!!!! It came out fantastic and both recipes taste super. Mmmmmmmmmm! So this is my art for this week. :) Food is art right?

Lakefront Festival of Arts

The Lakefront Festival of Arts....
how to describe this? This is the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the juried festival. There are 170 artists who bring their exemplary work to exhibit and sell under tents at the beautiful and unique Milwaukee Lakefront, right by and in the museum as well. There were special attractions for the kids, and a silent auction and live music and a wine garden. There was the sand sculpture and many MANY beautiful pieces of all kinds of art to view, from wood, to metal, clay, fiber, fabric, jewelry, pictures, paintings, mixed media, quicky and unique. More than I can describe! Photos were discouraged, so I did the best I could.
Here are a couple links to the artists pages of a few different things. Just amazing!
James Eaton
Nicario Jimenez
Betsy Youngquust
James and Victoria Mullan
Paul Klein
John Petrey
James Borden
Marilee Hall
David Burton

Anyways, these are some of the ones that blew us away! We wish that we had more $$$$ to be able to purchase some unique pieces from these people, but we felt honored to be able to view it all!
It was a good (very sweaty) fun art intake day! :)
By the way, we parked at Veterans Park and a Yellow School bus shuttled us over, that is what the picture of the back of people's head on a bus is. And then the city views from the parking area we felt was even kind of pretty. But it might have been heat stroke! Hehahaha!
